The assistance we receive from our funders, sponsors and friends is vital and allows us to offer Ireland’s exceptional young musicians residential training courses, tours and outreach programmes each year.
The National Youth Orchestra of Ireland endeavours to bring together the most talented young musicians between the ages of 12 and 20 across the island of Ireland for residential courses and concerts, recordings, workshops and events. Annual auditions ensure the young players are selected purely on the basis of musical ability.

Contributions from NYOI Friends support our work in creating life-changing opportunities for musicians across the island of Ireland every year.
Our goal is for every player to have equal access to our transformative music-making experiences, and for that reason, over 70% of the members’ fees towards the residency training and performances are subsidised by NYOI.
